Mr. Marciano
Yes, I am Mr. Marciano! I was born in Rochester, NY on April 15th 1969, and grew up in a small town outside of Rochester on the Erie Canal called Spencerport. I am going into my sixteenth year in teaching! One thing I will say about me is that I have been a true student of life, experiencing as much as I can when I have the opportunity. So sit back, relax and enjoy the ride...I know I have! After high school it was off to college. I spent the first part of my college career as an Orangeman at Syracuse University studying Speech communications and communication design. I finished off at the Rochester Institute of Technology with a Bachelor's of Science dual majoring in Professional and Technical Communications and Graphic Design and a minor in Psychology. After ten years I returned to college to earn my certificate in teaching from Roberts Wesleyan College. Outside of school I spent my spare time as an athlete in some way, shape or form. I have always had a passion for football and managed to play for 25 years. As a boy I loved to run, so I ran my way onto the high school track team. As a sprinter I had many accomplishments and awards with state ranking 2 years in a row. Believe it or not the records I set are still standing today after over 25 years! In addition to my passions in sports I was also regional champion and third over-all in the state power lifting championships. Throughout high school and college I had a number of various jobs ranging from gas station attendant to free lance graphic designer. These days, besides teaching I spend my spare time as a free lance photographer , writer and voice over artist. I have way too many hobbies to list here! Recently I have accomplished a major life event having published my first book! I am looking forward to this upcoming year and working with a new bright bunch of students!
